Ted W. Rollins
Mr. Rollins is the Co-Chairman of the Board and
Chief Executive Officer of our company. He
and Mr. Hartnett founded Campus Crest in 2004 and established it as a leading
developer, builder, owner and manager of high-quality, purpose-built student
housing properties located in targeted U.S. markets. The company's focus since inception has been on
building and enhancing its vertically integrated business model, prototypical
property type, The Grove brand and
leading residence life program, SCORES. Mr.
Rollins has been instrumental in the company's significant growth and strategic
direction, including its sustainability initiative. Prior to founding Campus Crest, Mr. Rollins
co-founded and managed companies that have successfully developed and operated real
estate, as well as directed several private real estate focused investment
funds. Mr. Rollins is lead director, member
of the audit committee and chairman of the governance committee of Fortegra
Financial Corporation (NYSE: FRF), a leading insurance services company. He received his BSBA from the Citadel and his
MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Mike Hartnett
Mr. Hartnett is the Co-Chairman of the Board and Chief Investment Officer of our company. He and Mr. Rollins founded Campus Crest in 2004 and established it as a leading developer, builder, owner and manager of high-quality, purpose-built student housing properties located in targeted U.S. markets. The company's focus since inception has been on building and enhancing its vertically integrated business model, prototypical property type, The Grove brand and leading residence life program, SCORES. Mr. Hartnett has been instrumental in the company's significant growth and strategic direction. Prior to founding Campus Crest, Mr. Hartnett co-founded and managed companies that have successfully developed and operated service-enriched real estate, including student housing and senior housing. Mr. Hartnett received his BS degree in structural engineering from the University of Maine and his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Donald L. Bobbitt, Jr
Mr. Bobbitt is an executive vice president and our chief financial officer, having served in that role since January 2008. From April 2006 to December 2007, Mr. Bobbitt was chief financial officer of Motorsports Authentics, LLC, a private company, which marketed and distributed NASCAR motorsports licensed merchandise. Prior to this, Mr. Bobbitt had an eleven-year career with Speedway Motorsports, Inc., a NYSE listed company, where he served in a variety of positions, including vice president of business operations, assistant corporate controller and vice president of finance. Prior to Speedway Motorsports, Inc., Mr. Bobbitt was in the financial services practice at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Mr. Bobbitt received his BS from Wake Forest University and is a certified public accountant.
Robert Dann
Mr. Dann is an Executive Vice President of our company and division president of both Campus Crest Real Estate Management and Campus Crest Development. A 25-year industry veteran, he has significant experience in strategic planning, portfolio and asset management and operational execution. Most recently he was president of CSM Lodging Inc, LLC in Minneapolis, Minnesota from October of 2005 until April of 2011, where he oversaw a portfolio of 38 hotels. Prior to that, Mr. Dann served as vice president of operations for Interstate Hotels & Resorts and also as executive vice president with Boykin Management in Cleveland Ohio. He also has more than 15 years of property level hotel experience with such companies as Ian Schrager Hotels, Helmsley Hotels, Westin and InterContinental. Mr. Dann is a graduate of the University of Denver with a BSBA in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
Brian L. Sharpe
Mr. Sharpe is an executive vice president and division president of construction and facilities. Since 2006, Mr. Sharpe served as president of Campus Crest Construction and, from April 2008 until December 2009, simultaneously served as the chief operating officer of Campus Crest Group. As both division president and chief operating officer, Mr. Sharpe has overseen the development, construction and maintenance of thirty-two of our thirty-three properties and directed our global purchasing efforts. From September 1999 until April 2006, Mr. Sharpe served as a senior program manager at BBL Construction Services, LLC, where he shared management responsibilities for the national construction program of BBL Medical Facilities. Mr. Sharpe attended Villanova University.
Mark MacNeil
Mr. MacNeil provides leadership and direction for all aspects of the national construction program. He is also responsible for facilities management of all existing properties in the portfolio and for global purchasing. Through the members of his team and a system of rote process and iterative improvement MacNeil directs activities to a high quality, timely and cost effective delivery of new Campus Crest assets and then continues to support continuity of the product, once the construction projects are complete, by leading the Facilities team in the ongoing effort of Facilities Management.
